Some things a bill proves. Some things a reader only judges.

Proven
Computed on your device, exact to the cent, and free — because code can already show it for nothing.
  • —Arithmetic that does not add
  • —Duplicate time, same task, no explanation
  • —Clerical work at an attorney rate
  • —Every finding cites its line numbers
Free on every review. Withholding this would contradict the premise of the product.
Untestable
The record is incomplete — no dollar figure, no guess.
  • —Several tasks bundled into one time entry
  • —Descriptions that do not name the task
  • —Reported as a count, not a verdict
  • —An inventory of what is checkable at all
The finding is about the record, not proof that the time was padded.
Assessed
A dollar range for what needs a closer look, never a single figure.
  • —Every observation cites its lines
  • —Priced as a range, never one number
  • —Cannot contradict the arithmetic
  • —Sampled free, complete on the paid tier
A single headline figure is what a reader screenshots as a verdict. That is why there isn’t one.

Redacted on your device, before anything is sent.

01Redact
Your invoice is stripped and tokenized in your browser. You see every replacement and approve the screen before anything is transmitted.
  • ✓Caption and header block removed entirely
  • ✓Names, addresses and account numbers tokenized
  • ✓A minor’s name is redacted without an opt-out
02Analyze
Provable checks run locally and produce exact figures. A separate assessed layer reads only the redacted line text.
  • ✓Arithmetic, duplicates and rate mismatches never leave your device
  • ✓Rate benchmarks are shown as context, not as findings
  • ✓Assessed observations always cite their lines
03Export
Documents are assembled in your browser and re-identified locally, so your name goes back in without a server ever seeing it.
  • ✓Report, summary and draft letter
  • ✓The letter asserts facts and asks questions — it states no legal conclusion
  • ✓Email delivery is off unless you ask, per document
The bill is not stored
No copy is kept after your session ends.
Redact before transmission, not after
Identifiable content never reaches a third party in the first place.
The exact dollars never leave your device
Every provable finding is computed locally, offline-capable.

This is priced flat and low because it is a bill review, not a claim that $29 buys the same work at a discount — a lawyer advises on your matter, this reviews your bill.

The review works anywhere. The fee-dispute programs do not.

Client can start it alone
A fee arbitration program the client initiates, which the lawyer is then required to take part in.
California
Verified · mutual consent
Both sides must agree
A program exists, but it only proceeds if the firm agrees to participate. If it declines, the route is closed.
Florida · Virginia
Not yet verified
Being checked
On the verification list. Until each is confirmed, the product will not tell you a program exists or where to go.
Everywhere else
California, Florida, and Virginia link directly to each state bar's own program page, because each has been verified in detail. Where a state has not been checked, the product says so rather than guessing.

A reviewer flags testable problems. A lawyer advises on a live matter.

I am not your lawyer, and nothing here is legal advice. This tool reviews a bill as a record of work. It does not advise on your matter, decide whether a fee is reasonable, or predict what any court or arbitrator would do.
What we say
Does this bill hold up as a record of work
Which lines can be tested
I am not your lawyer. Nothing here is legal advice
Free first pass, no card
The bill is not stored
A draft letter — you review it
What we will never say
A claim that this replaces a licensed lawyer
A claim that $29 buys the same thing as a lawyer consult, at a discount
A guarantee the draft letter is legally sufficient as written
A verdict on whether your fee was fair
A single number presented as the exact overcharge
A single verdict score, or a promise to recover money for you
Why the second list exists
In September 2024 the Federal Trade Commission issued an administrative complaint against a company marketing automated legal-document software as a stand-in for retaining counsel; a consent order was finalised in February 2025. It was not a court case and involved no admission of liability. The theory was deception: the product was advertised as performing like a lawyer, with no testing of whether its outputs matched a human lawyer’s and no attorneys retained to check them. The rule that survives is not that cheap alternatives to lawyers are forbidden — it is that you may not call the alternative a lawyer. So this product does not, anywhere, in any wording, and will not claim its outputs match lawyer-drafted quality unless attorneys have tested the actual outputs and said so.

Questions

Do I need a card to see anything?
No. The provable findings, with exact dollars and cited lines, are free and need no card.
Is this legal advice?
No. It reviews a bill as a record of work and does not advise on your matter.
Does the $29 buy the same thing as a lawyer consult?
No — a lawyer advises on a matter; this reviews a bill. The $29 is flat and low because the scope is narrower.
Is my bill stored anywhere?
The bill is not stored in identifiable form. Only redacted line text is sent, and only after you approve it.
What kind of bills does it read?
Itemized consumer legal invoices — divorce, custody, estate and probate, small-business contract and regulatory matters.
Does a human see my invoice?
No. It is redacted in your browser and never stored, and the exact-dollar checks never leave your device.
